This research examines the strengthening efficiency of prestressed concrete dapped end beam with opening under monotonic point load. The study concerns position relative to end, shape opening, as circle or square, in addition, effect CFRP around opening. experimental program consisted testing nine scaled down specimens single near end. Beam one control and remaining eight beams classified into two groups. first group contained four unstrengthened specimens, whereas second included strengthened using sheets. A full wrapping configuration for region was adopted this research. results presented detrimental influence openings on shear strength additional achieved from strengthening. concludes that decreased by presence web maximum reduction about 20% when located close Based test results, recovered significant part their original load carrying capacity.
